Grease the bottom of an 8 x 8 inch or 7.5 x 9 inch baking pan with coconut oil.
Toss the cranberries and apples together in the baking pan. Add remaining coconut oil to the berry-fruit mixture. Sprinkle evenly with chopped nuts and sugar. Then spread CRUMBLED TOPPING over the top to cover.
Bake at 375 F for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
To make CRUMBLED TOPPING combine 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 cup quick cooking oats and ¾ cup all-purpose flour. You can also add some cinnamon if you like.
